Hi, I’m Eve Carpenter Huff.

California wedding and portrait photographer, ER nurse, and outdoor enthusiast.

I love capturing real life moments as they occur. You will definitely find me backpacking, surfing, or hiking during my sessions to ensure I truly capture the essence of my client’s dream gallery. If you think I’m kidding, check out my portfolio; and if you think that I’m exactly who you’re looking for, get in touch with me below!

About

When I’m not out taking photos or at work in the ER, you can probably find me outside. My husband Kai and I met lifeguarding in 2017, and we continue to share our love of the ocean through surfing, bodysurfing, and water photography. At home, I like to spend lots of time in the backyard gardening and taking care of my chickens. On a day off, I try to spend every spare moment hiking, mountain biking, padding, doing yoga, or trail running. I have lots of love for wide open spaces and beautiful sunsets, which I think plays a big role in my creative style!

My Approach

I grew up taking photos on hikes when I was little, with my mom handing me a camera to keep me from asking “are we there yet?” I continued this passion well into high school and college, opting to take photography classes and study media communications.

During a career pivot I ended up becoming an ER tech, nursing student, and then finally an ER nurse. My passion for photography was buried by nursing school and work. When I picked up photography again as a hobby during nursing school, I realized that instead of being there on someone’s worst day, I got to capture one of their best days!

I am so grateful for the couples, families, and graduates who have trusted my passion with their special moments. Knowing how precious joy is has really shaped my outlook on photography and capturing connections. I aim to create both galleries and memories that last you a lifetime.

I aim to create a gallery that you can proudly pass down for generations. I want your photos to feel timeless and well-loved. Something that you hang on your walls, or share in a book on your coffee table.

Heirloom

I value authenticity in the way we plan and style our session, as well as the moments that we create within the session. My goal is to help you feel beautiful, loved, and connected to yourself and your loved ones exactly as you are.

Authentic

Intimacy in our sessions means closeness with ourselves, each other, and the nature around us. My goal is to capture meaningful details that paint a picture of connectedness, love, and emotion. I also love intimacy in the sense of small, intentional weddings and elopements.
